Skating Pro Criteria

The Wisconsin Figure Skating Club has adopted criteria for skating professionals who are teaching on club ice time. These criteria have been adopted to ensure instruction quality. By establishing pro criteria skaters can have higher confidence in the coaches they work with on club ice, knowing that these coaches have demonstrated minimum levels of competency and have current certifications or registrations.

We require all coaches to maintain proof of insurance and current registrations.

The Wisconsin Figure Skating Club is honored to have a terrific staff of teaching professionals for all types of figure skating: Dance, Freestyle, Figures, Moves, Synchro. You might want to visit the Pros Page to learn more about our terrific team.

Please note that it is ultimately the parent or adult skater's responsibility to choose a pro to meet the skater's specific needs. The best way to learn about what levels a coach is qualified to teach and whether a specific coach is right for you is to look at the coach's qualifications and experience, watch the coach on the ice, and ask other parents for their opinions.
